When Professor Vinicks manages to snub Ted once again, Ted takes his fight straight to the Wesleyan campus, and Lily and Marshall tag along for nostalgia’s sake and end up running into a despised old acquaintance. Meanwhile, Robin attempts to get rid of Patrice.

Marshall and Lily use the gala as an excuse to have their first night out without baby Marvin and are intent on not wasting a minute of their date night.
