Invasion of the Body Snatchers

Invasion of the Body Snatchers

San Francisco is under full-scale attack by mysterious alien seed pods in director Philip Kaufman's stylish remake of the 1956 Don Siegel science-fiction classic. Donald Sutherland plays a public-health inspector with Brooke Adams as his assistant. Following the strange blanketing of the city by spidery webs, Adams notices the unexplained emotionless and distant behavior of best friend Art Hindle. She observes this same personality transformation all over the city and finally convinces skeptical Sutherland of the phenomena. The legion of "zombies" grow, and a hunted Adams, Sutherland, Jeff Goldblum, and Veronica Cartwright are soon the only humans left in San Francisco to alert the world. Kevin McCarthy appears in the opening of the film shouting the same dire warning that climaxed the 1956 original.
  • Rated PG for Violence, Adult Language, Brief Nudity
